The only questions I have been pondering….Are we there yet and I’m I done yet!!!!

Finals are around the corner and I feel like they are still a month a way. Being it the holiday season I should be a merry sort of spirit right??? WRONG I’m so wrapped up in finishing projects and catching up on homework and papers to get in that kind of mood. I’ll be in that mood once all this vanishes in a puff of green and red smoke.

Once the smoke settles I can enjoy making Christmas cookies, watching the Christmas specials I miss so badly, and enjoying this time of the season with my family and friends.

Yes I know I sound like Scrooge but right now I really don’t care at this point. When finals are over I’ll start acting like a elf waiting for Christmas to arrive!!

Absolutely No Title

I really mean what my title is I have no title for this. My mind has been in a daze/funk ever since I got home from my weekend at home for some reason. Its been almost two weeks and I’m still in that mode. I’m in homework for the next week in a half or so. Thanksgiving and my birthday are rolling around sooner than I’d like.

While doing homework and other things I’m in the middle of re watching Sex and the City. I’m in the middle of Season 3 and god I feel sorry for Aiden. He had know idea what he walked into when he fell for Carrie.

I’m also waiting and hoping to buy John Mayer tickets. He’s in Portland, Oregon in March during my Spring Break. I’m hoping it works out and I can go. Working on who’s going with as we speak. Keeping my fingers crossed all works out!!

Rain and Wind

My weekend home a much needed break. I almost forgot what it was like to sleep in my own bed and without having to wake up at 7 in the morning for classes. I basically just hung out at home and watched sports all weekend which in my case was not a bad thing.

This week has been horrible weather for California residents. It’s raining everywhere in the state. Our storm in Redding started Monday night so mildly and than became one of the worst I’ve have been apart of. For the last 48 hours we have had wind advisory warnings going on into the wee hours of the night. It rain finally let up for now but I can still hear the wind blowing outside my window. It’s supposed to clear up for a few days than start up again.

I’m planning on staying in Redding for the next few weeks that I’m heading home for a belated birthday party for my daddy and than a birthday party for a one year old….those are always fun :)

By the way check out John Mayer’s new single out called “Who Says” its very different from which what John usually writes!!

So I’m just doing a quick update (yes finally) With school back in full swing blogging seems like the low thing on the totem pole right now. I’m just letting you know school going good I have my good days and my not so good days.

My plans for the rest of October which probably will fly by before I know it are:

This coming weekend I’ll be heading home for Columbus Vacation are whatever you can call….I call it a four day break!!!

The next couple weeks after I’ll be sticking around on campus!

Than the weekend of Halloween I will be home for a belated birthday celebration for my dad at my Grandma Marsh’s house on the Friday before Halloween. Than the Saturday of Halloween I’ll be celebrating my cousin Caitlin’s 1st birthday (my kids grow up fast these days) Than I’ll be handing out candy at my parents house that night!!

Summertime

Yes I know it has been awhile. I’ve been so busy that blogging seems to be last thing on my mind. But all I can say is that the summer for me has been one of best I’ve had in a long time. Its something that I needed for what I’ve been thru this past spring and part of the first month or so my break. I’m not really going to explain all what happened this summer but I’ll try and add pictures and captions of my ventures this summer. I’ll I can say is I wish the summer would stick around for a little while longer but I guess it can’t.

School starts soon and I hope to post pictures ASAP!!

Birthday Dinner for Papa and a Laker Championship

Tonight we had my Grandma Chi-Sai and my Papa Ross over to celebrate is birthday. Dinner was really really good. My dad made barbeque chicken, pasta salad, and corn on the cob. We also had angel food cake for dessert. It was a really nice night. Were usually camping this weekend but after the weather we have been having I’m glad we didn’t go camping this weekend.

So the LA LAKERS are champions of basketball once again. I literally got tears in my eyes when the game ended. It’s been such a long ride to the finals and I’m glad it finally happened again.

Summer is Officially Here!!!

So my job for the summer officially ended. The elementary schools here ended for summer vacation. It was a nice job while it lasted. The last month in a half or so was pretty hectic but very rewarding as well. I enjoyed every minute of it, even though my brain felt like scrambled eggs on Fridays. Working with this group of kindergarten kids were amazing, and I had a chance to work with a lady that I’ve gotten close to in the years past. I only get to see her during the school months but she is someone who I’ve come to trust and I love to work with.

This month is going to fly by and my trip to Florida will be here before I know it. My sister is coming home this weekend, and I have a camping trip with my family in two weeks. So its going to fly by!!!

Busy and a Bad Blogger

I was sitting in the chair getting my hair colored today….and I was thinking besides this stuff burns that I haven’t blogged in awhile!!! I’ve been a very very bad blogger. I realized that since summer vacation has started for me I’ve been busier than I thought I would be. I was offered to sub for bus duty at one of our local schools until school is done for the summer…and lets just say its kicking my butt getting up a seven in morning on my vacation non the less.

Oh I just wanted to say that I’m going to Florida for a week in July. If anyone wants to know more details on my trip give me a phone call or shoot me an email.

Mother’s Day and the rest of the Week!!

Today was Mother’s Day. I was a nice day to spend with the great women in my life. I started off with church with my Grandma Marsh than we had lunch at her house. Lets just say I ended up getting sun and added to the sun I got over the last few day I look like a raccoon. In the later of the afternoon we had my dad’s family over for a barbeque it was really nice.

My week was nice. I’m starting to adjust rather nicely and it does feel nice to just relax and I’m working a little so its nice. It makes it nicer when the sun is out and we can enjoy our days more and more.

I finished Sex and the City season 3 on Thursday night. That is one of my favorites after watching for the hundredth time (jk) and the season finale is probably one of my favorites besides the series finale!!! I’m on season 4 and about half way thru!!

Lazy Weekend

So my weekend turned out to be very lazy. I knew that I was in for a long weekend when I decided to camp out on the couch and watch the first two seasons of Sex and the City. Just to let you know I’ve seen them like a thousand times so I’m not a Sex and the City virgin. I love them. I finished the second season tonight and I will start the third season tomorrow night!!!! Just to let you know Season 5 was my favorite…but a while to go before I get to it!!!

I hope your weekend was more productive than mine was…I guess you can say mine was productive I finished two seasons in less than 36 hours.

My First Week!!!

So my first official week being back went by better than the first 2 days. I was afraid of what I was going to do to keep myself occupied and not go crazy!! I was able to fill in at my old job for the week. One of the ladies that I used to work with had some family stuff come up and they needed me to fill in for lunch duty. I’m just glad it got me out of the house and back to a little bit of normalcy that I got accustomed to doing last year at this time.

Today was really the night that it hit me….I’m not going to be hanging out with my friends on Friday nights for awhile. It feels a little weird but I think I’ll manage. My sister will be home in June and my life and craziness will come back…ha ha ha!!!

Oh by the way Cindy if you read this and I think you will…Grams told me about you trying to make it for our annual camping trip this year!!! You’ll be getting a phone call from me begging you to come.. I need you out on the boat at 5am with me!!!

So I arrived home on Thursday night after my last final. Yesterday was a day full of mixed emotions. I was very tired and from the words of my Grandmother I felt “drugged.” I don’t know why I felt like that but I just felt very strange. It did not help that I had so much stuff to unpack and it was just a day that I was glad was over. I still have a lot of stuff to get done. I’m going to try and accomplish a lot of that stuff on Monday and see how much stuff I can actually get done. I feel much better today. My mother and grandma treated me to a night at Seven Feathers Casino. So they are down on the floor and I’m up in the hotel room chilling…well I was losing so I needed to take a break.

All I know is its going to be one long a$$ summer for me. I’ll keep you posted!!!

One Week Left

Today officially starts a week left of school. I take my finals next week starting Tuesday and my first year at Simpson University officially ends on Thursday afternoon. I can't believe it's done!! I'm looking forward to vacation but I realized that I'm going to have to find a job and with our economy its not going to be easy. Than I realized that it is going to be lonely until until my sister comes home but it won't be until Father's Day weekend. I'll go crazy if I come up short on the job front. It's going to be one crazy week coming up and just hopefully everything goes good and everybody stays calm!!!

GRR I HATE BEING SICK

As you could tell by my title I hate being sick. I caught a cold and it sucks. Okay maybe I’m not being honest how I got the cold so fast. This past Friday I went and saw Fast and the Furious with one of my girlfriends. By the way the movie was amazing. We walked a bit in Redding and than we cam back.

Well it was my it was one of my other friends ideas to help out with a charity event around our campus. The event was to raise sleeping bags, backpacks,etc for the homeless in our area. Part of the event was students were encouraged to sleep outside from Thursday-Sunday. I stayed out Friday night and I was miserable as you can see. I didn’t last until the morning I ended up packing my blankets in and going back to bed in my room at about 5:00am. It was an awesome experience but I think that’s why I feel so horrible right now!!!

Homework and Other Stuff

I finally realized why the last three weeks of school is associated with Hell Week. To be quite honest that is pretty much how I feel. I spent most of my afternoon in the Library and I got some stuff done but not enough stuff done to say that I feel satisfied. I’ve already decided that I’m staying in my dorm this weekend to get most of the homework that needs to to done and finished.

All the other stuff that I mentioned is I’m counting down the days until school is done for the year and I can relax and little and try and find a summer job. Its going to be tough but I’m determined to find a job. Well I need to get back to work and my dinner mac and cheese is calling me.

Spring Break and Coldness

So I'm home for a week for Spring Break. I'm happy to be home and out of my limited space of my dorm room. The only thing that I'm not happy about is I'm not warm enough... it was almost 80 degrees yesterday when I left and now I come home and its 39 freakin degrees. I went to my Grandma and Papa's house for dinner and me staying warm was a challenge. I love being home but I'm not acclimated to this weather. I will enjoy some home cooking this week and start catching up on some TV shows that I miss while in school. Yay for Spring Break..Boo for Cold Weather!!!

MacBeth and a Sinus Cold

So.... It was a rough week this past week for me. Mid-terms and a lack of sleep has finally got to me. I came down with a simple sinus cold. I'm not coughing that much but I'm sneezing like crazy and my nose is running. I just wish I would not have gotten sick right now. I dont need it....

I went and saw MacBeth at the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. It was alright, I cant say much about it except for it was kinda different but MacBeth is different. It would have helped re reading the play since I read it back in High School. The drive was nice I went with a friend and we had a nice time just the two of us. Well I'm going to see what I can do about this cold.

Who Needs Sleep??

So I know I've been a bad blogger but school has been so hectic that this isn't the only thing that I'm neglecting. There is this little thing called sleep has been very hard to come by these last few weeks. That song by the Barenaked Ladies- Who Needs Sleep? I feel like that I've been living that song the last few weeks. During MLK weekend I did go home and get some sleep but here in the dorms it is very hard to come by. Any ideas that I can help me kick this I'm all ears. Hope everyone has a good weekend!!!

Hello 2009, Goodbye 2008

Well 2009 is here. I spent New Year's like I always do with my family. We had a little family get together, my moms side of the family was here. It turned out to be a great evening. A friend that I haven't seen in a few months came by and hung with us for awhile. Well after we ate and drank a little than the real fun started. At about 9:00 pacific time we started doing rounds of Rock Band for the PS2. Lets just say I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. I sang a Bon Jovi song and lets just during a part where you have to improv, lets just say I started and my cousin's girlfriend started to laugh. Well you know what happens when someone is laughing that hard usually people around them start laughing, well I was laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my cheeks.

I made a few resolutions this year and I'm hopping to stick to them, I'm hoping to get working out again, and I want to make my grades be better than last semester. But thats all in the past now and on with the new!! Happy New Year to all!!!

Jen and Owen and oh ya Marley!!

On Saturday night we went to the movies to see Marley & Me. What a great movie, I read the book and loved it too. It was very heartwarming movie, I laughed and I cried too. I loved Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson, I've loved Jen for a long time and it was pretty amazing to see her in this kind of role. The movie is based on John Grogan's bestselling book Marley & Me, about this couple who is newly married and they get a lab puppy who turns out to be the world's worst dog. Well I wont get into the details but lets just say this movie is at the top of the box office for the weekend and it deserves to be there.

So Christmas time came and went. I could not believe how fast it went this year, maybe its because I'm getting older. The best gift I received was my new labtop. It was a partial gift, just because I had to buy half of it. I also received the usual things, pajamas, underwear, bath goodies, movies, and some clothes. I did get a Ipod docking station from my Aunt Donna and Uncle Jim. But Christmas was great and now I'm only home until the end of the week before I start another semester of school. If you want to treat your family to a movie this week go see Marley & Me its fun for the whole family.

Snow and -2 degree weather!!

It looks like we could easily have a white christmas this year!! We got a lot of snow this past week; and the temperature even dropped down to -2. Thats just too cold if you ask me. I'm on winter break, its been a pretty restful break. I still have two more weeks and it should be pretty uneventful. I can not believe Christmas is less than a week a way. I still have cookies I still need to get done. Hope your holiday season will be great!!

Sick Puppy

Elections, Babies, and Birthdays

Its been an interesting couple of days here in Redding. With the election last night and classes today starting at 9am I havent really slept. During the election it was pretty crazy in my dorm room. With the news of the newest arrival to our family due anyday I was constantly calling home and checking for any updates. I had a friend over and we watched the coverage and played cards and ate popcorn. When Obama was announced as President caos hit my floor I had girls in my room watching the coverage and non of them were to happy about how it ended. When the caos hit and when Obama was speaking I found out that the newest member of our family was brought into the Catlin Marie I cant wait to meet her!!

Plus I think I'm coming down with some kind of virus, who knows my whole floor was sick not too long ago so I guess its my turn. I'm officially on birthday countdown there are 19 days until my 22nd Birthday, and 24 comes back from hiatus that night too, so thats a great way to spend my night. Popcorn and a diet coke with a side of Jack Bauer thats not to shabby!! Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the week!!

Home and Halloween

Well I made it home yesterday afternoon. After my grandparents picked me up we went to In&Out for lunch, believe it or not my Papa Ross has never had a burger from there. Lunch was great and I napped for about an hour in the car. Halloween was awesome, we had our my mom's family over for dinner and I passed out candy. It wasnt a bad turn-out all the candy was gone by 9pm. Today we cleaned out our storage unit, it was tough but it wierd to see all the stuff I had when I was a kid. I watched Sex and the City with my mom and grandma marsh. Night and dont forget to set your clocks back!!!

Fugitive and A Halloween Party!!

So your probably wondering whats up with the crazy gidups. Well thats what my weekend ensued. I dressed in black for fugitive and I dressed like a baby for a halloween party. Fugtive was on Friday night and it was awesome. My friend Rachel and I had to dress in black and try and walk to movies on Dana Drive. But we didnt make it because we got side tracked, we ended walking thru mud that sucked a few girls shoes in including my friends. Than we had to crawl under barbed wire fences to get back to Simpson because my friend lost her shoe in the mud and she couldnt continue on.

So the other picture is us going to a halloween party on campus. Rachel was a prom queen and I was a baby. That pacifier in mouth was only 2.oo it was a steal. It turned out to be a great weekend. I'm heading home for the weekend and to pass out candy on Halloween night. My shower calls night!!

Where's the Advil

My head hurts from all the studying today. I guess its payback since I got to have my fun at the Corn Maze last night. It was a blast even though I was scared to death to walk anywhere in the corn by myself. Tonight I really thought my head was going to fall off by the time I finished with my Literature Essay and after studying for an exam in World Civilazations. I got done and I feel like my head is going to explode. The weekend went by to fast for me, can I rewind it and start over without having to do homework. Where's the advil again, oh its in my bathroom drawer. Well there are two gel tablets and a bottle of water calling my name so adios!!

I'm so sorry about not blogging. I'm a bad bad blogger. I've been so busy with school and studying for mid-terms. It seems like the only time I have to blog is when I'm at my parents house. I'm home for the weekend because of Columbus Day. It's been a nice weekend, I'm trying to enjoy myself because I probably won't be back until Veterans Day. I'm officially on birthday countdown, I have about a month and twelve days till I'm 22. I feel like I'm getting older by the second :( I cant make any promises when I'll do this again but here's hoping for more to come later!!

Dinner and Sex a Great Combo

So your probably thinking what a odd title. But its the truth, my homemade chicken noodle soup and my two cousins and Sex and the City The Movie-The Extended Cut!! That makes for a wonderful night of entertainment. Dinner was awesome and then the movie will of course will be awesome. I bought the movie at the mall for 24.00 and its the extended cut so its going to be fabulous. I know I wont be the only one indulging in Carrie and Friends tonight, I'm thinking most women in the world were waiting patiently like I was for this to finally be on DVD. We know the movie will be good because from the famous words of Mr. Big "Abso-fucking-lutely." I'll post pics of my Dorm Room on a later day!! But now its movie time!!!

Home Again

So I know I've been horrible about updating. I've been so busy that this was the last thing on my mind to do. School is awesome, its hot and the food isnt that great but its totally awesome. My room is amazing and I have my own bathroom and two closets. I came home for the weekend to see my dad for his birthday and I'll be home next week starting on Thursday and I'll leave Sunday afternoon sometime. Its really nice to be on my own and the campus feels like home to me. Its time for dessert my Grandma made Cheesecake with cherries. Yum-o!

Boxes and Boxes

Well as you can see I'm almost done with my packing. Its gets harder everyday but I'm doing it. I'm saying my goodbyes as the days pass. Today it was one of all time favorite teachers and still a very close friend of mine and I made her cry so I felt pretty special. Than it was my Grandma Chi-Sai and Papa Ross. I had my Grandma crying even before we went out to lunch today. It makes a person feel really special. My last night in Yreka is tommrow. Than I'm gone on Friday but I will return on the week of the the 13th of September.

Hair

Here's my latest pic of my new haircut. It turned out great. It is a little more color than I wanted to but its perfect, just the right length and I can still pull back in a ponytail or a clip. Well I'll finish packing this week and were heading to Medford Saturday for last minute things. I'm leaving next Friday so this is my last weekend here in town.

Phelps the Phenom

This guy is so freaking awesome it did not surprise me last night when the Americans took home the gold in the relay. I really have no interest in the Summer Olympics except for the Men's Basketball team(they are pretty damn good as well) and this guy is really the only things I watch. I'm more of a Winter Olympics person really. But to see the kind of history made in my lifetime is pretty phenomenal. I think thats why I'm so tierd today is because I stayed up until 1:00 in the morning to see his interview and the medal presentation.

Well this weekend was a pretty active weekend for me. On Friday night my Grandma Marsh cooked dinner for everyone, Ashley and Alyssa moved to Redding yesterday and Justin is heading to Chico State tommrow morning. I'll be leaving in two weeks and my sister is still here for awhile. I will finally start packing this week. I get my haircut on Tuesday I'll try and post a pic.

Budweiser Clydesdales

These are the infamous Budweiser Clydesdales, these are even more awesome in person. They were at our local fair this year, and they brought Ringo the dalamatian as well. To see these in person was a real treat. The came by my gate that I was working at and I snapped a picture, I'll post the picture of Ringo later. The fair came to a close last night and I'm glad its over!! I hope everyone had a good weekend and I'll try and post more often. Starting this week I'll start packing some of my things :(

Guys I finally started a blog. I did for alot my family out there. I thought this would be a easy way to see what I will be up to this fall at Simpson University. On that note I just found out that I get my own dorm room to myself(YAHOOOO) I still havent even started packing, I think I have a little case of Denial, I know I should be packing but its so hard to finally knuckle down and actually start packing up all my stuff. The fair is in town and I'm working security!!
